Mountain Washed Decaf

This Mexican decaf is decaffeinated at origin using the Mountain Water Process, a completely chemical-free method. Crystal-clear spring water from Pico de Orizaba is used to gently remove the caffeine while preserving the coffee's natural flavour. The caffeine-rich water is then passed through specialised filters that remove only the caffeine. This filtered water is reused to decaffeinate fresh batches of coffee, allowing the caffeine to move naturally from the beans into the water through osmosis, leaving behind a clean, flavourful decaf with all the character of the original coffee.
